Prospective Students

As the MPH degree can be tailored to each student's specific professional interests, the Upstate Public Health is appropriate for those who are entering the field, currently employed in public health, allied health or administration fields as well as for clinicians.

Graduates of the Upstate Public Health program will be equipped to manage public health problems by acquiring skills to reduce disease and disability at the community levels, and thus having a positive impact on many individuals. As practitioners, they will advocate the importance of prevention, and be able to integrate public health to guide health and healthcare.

The Upstate Public Health program accommodates both the full-and-part-time student. Full-time students can complete the degree in as little as 12 months while the flexible part-time study plan allows the student up to five years to complete the degree.

Students in the Upstate Public Health program pay the current SUNY graduate tuition rate.
